The IUSCA is delighted to announce the International Conference on Strength and Conditioning, featuring keynote presentations by industry leading experts, roundtable discussions, and practical demonstrations.   

About the Event

 

The IUSCA International Conference on Strength and Conditioning will be held at Leeds Beckett University, in the UK, on Friday 5th June 2026. It will be the biggest single-day S&C event in the UK and will feature some of the leading names in the field of S&C and Sorts Performance from around the world. 

Expect 8 keynote presentations, including practical sessions and roundtable discussions. There will also be unmatched opportunity for networking within the multi-million-pound, state-of-the-art Carnegie School of Sport building. 

Lunch, snacks, and refreshments will also be included as part of the admission fee.

Joe Kenn

High Performance Consultant

Keynote: TBC

Joe Kenn is a highly respected strength and conditioning professional with over three decades of experience in elite sport. He is best known as the creator of the Tier System for strength training and for his leadership roles across collegiate and professional sport. Joe served as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Carolina Panthers (NFL) and has also held positions at Arizona State University, Louisville, and Boise State. He is one of the few coaches to be named NSCA Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year at both the collegiate (2002) and professional (2015) levels. Throughout his career, Joe has mentored countless coaches, contributed extensively to education in the field, and continues to influence global practice through his role as Vice President of Performance Education at Dynamic Fitness & Strength. Joe is also a Master International Strength and Conditioning Practitioner (mISCP) with the IUSCA.

Tim Suchomel

Director for the Master of Sport Science Program, University of Pittsburgh

Keynote: TBC

Dr. Tim Suchomel is a leading expert in strength and conditioning, with a global reputation for bridging scientific research and applied athletic performance. He is currently the Director of the Sports Science Program at the University of Pittsburgh and is internationally recognised for his work in power development, resistance training, and athlete monitoring. Tim has authored and co-authored over 100 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, and has presented at major conferences worldwide. Prior to joining Pitt, he served as an Associate Professor at Carroll University, where he played a key role in developing applied S&C education. Tim continues to mentor the next generation of coaches and scientists, and is widely respected for his evidence-based approach to training and performance. He is also a Master International Strength and Conditioning Practitioner (mISCP) with the IUSCA.

John Noonan

Oracle Red Bull Racing

John Noonan is an experienced high-performance coach and consultant working in Formula 1 with Oracle Red Bull Racing, supporting drivers with the physical and performance demands of the championship. He has over 20 years’ experience coaching across high-performance sport and the public domain, and has worked with professional youth, senior, and international athletes across more than 15 sports, including Premier League football, rugby union/league, Winter Olympic snow sports, European Tour golf, and Formula racing. In 2019, John founded NoonanPerformance.com and now provides performance consultancy to athletes and business clients, delivering a hybrid of physical training, injury rehabilitation, mindset coaching, and health-focused support. John is also recognised as a Master International Strength and Conditioning Practitioner (mISCP) by the IUSCA. 

Alex Wolf

Founder, Strength and Conditioning Academy

Keynote: TBC

Alex Wolf is a globally respected strength and conditioning coach, educator, and performance consultant with over 15 years of experience in elite sport. He spent more than a decade at the English Institute of Sport (EIS), where he served as Head of Strength and Conditioning and later as Head of Learning, playing a pivotal role in the development of national coaching frameworks and multidisciplinary support teams across Olympic and Paralympic programmes. Alex is the founder of the Strength and Conditioning Academy, an organisation dedicated to advancing practitioner education through accessible, evidence-based learning. He is internationally recognised for his expertise in coach development, adaptation-led programming, and high-performance leadership, and continues to influence the profession through consultancy, mentorship, and applied delivery.
