Congratulations to Sheffield Hallam University on achieving IUSCA Degree Accreditation for its MSc Strength and Conditioning Coaching.

IUSCA Degree Accreditation recognises universities that go beyond teaching fixed methodologies alone. It recognises programmes that develop the judgement, decision-making, and explanatory problem-solving skills required for effective strength and conditioning practice in real-world environments.

By aligning with the principles of the International Qualification Framework (IQF), Sheffield Hallam has demonstrated its commitment to preparing graduates who can think critically, adapt to complex coaching environments, and continually improve their practice. These are qualities that define the world’s leading practitioners.

Through the accredited programme, eligible students can progress towards the IUSCA IQF Level 7 Accredited International Strength and Conditioning Practitioner (aISCP*m) designation, the highest fully degree-embedded practitioner certification pathway in strength and conditioning.

Students who complete 1,500 hours of relevant practical experience and meet the programme’s rigorous practical assessment requirements can graduate with this internationally recognised, trademarked practitioner title that supports insurance eligibility in 120+ countries worldwide.

Students also benefit from:

✔ Access to IUSCA Video and an extensive library of practitioner webinars and educational content

✔ Access to IUSCA Practitioner Short Courses

✔ Opportunities for prestigious placements with IUSCA partner organisations, including NCAA Division I universities in the US

As Dr Lee Bell, Course Leader, explains:

“We are extremely proud that our MSc Strength and Conditioning Coaching course has been accredited by the IUSCA. It demonstrates our commitment to delivering world-class strength and conditioning education and supports students in achieving successful careers in the industry. The embedded aISCP certification is an excellent opportunity for students to accelerate the development of their practical skills, knowledge and experience as practitioners.”

Congratulations once again to Sheffield Hallam University on joining the growing international network of IUSCA Accredited Degrees, representing world-leading S&C education and a clear commitment to developing the next generation of practitioners.
