Richard Blagrove, from Loughborough University, will be delivering a webinar on "The role of Strength and Conditioning in Improving Performance and Mitigating the Risk of Injury in Endurance Runners". This will include a Q&A session at the end.Â
Richard is a Senior Lecturer in Physiology and the Programme Leader for the MSc Strength and Conditioning at Loughborough University. Â

Richard’s research investigates the physiological factors that underpin performance in endurance running and how strength-training exercise can be used as a tool to improve the metabolic cost of running. He is also interested in health-related issues associated with endurance sports, particularly the consequences of problematic low energy availability onÂ
musculoskeletal health. Â

Richard is an Accredited Strength and Conditioning Coach with the UKSCA and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the NSCA. Alongside his academic roles, he has provided strength and conditioning coaching support to numerous athletes over the last 15 years including several Olympic and Paralympic athletes.Â
