George Greene serves as the Associate Athletic Director of High Performance and Competitive Success at Stony Brook Athletics.

He ascended to the position in the fall of 2019 after serving three years as the Assistant Athletics Director for Athletic Performance. Greene oversees all aspects of athletic performance, performance nutrition and sports science. He also partners with coaches and administrators to identify opportunities to achieve sustained competitive success. He extensively works with the men’s basketball and football programs.

His three years leading the athletic performance department have witnessed significant growth, including a focus on the integration between strength and conditioning, performance nutrition and sports science. Stony Brook student-athletes have reaped the benefits of performance nutrition services, including the launch of a training table in September 2019, the Seawolves fueling station in January 2017, and the development of a performance nutrition…
