The New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) Strength and Conditioning Department has been awarded IUSCA Endorsed Status after completing Independent Department External Evaluation (IDEE). This accolade gives industry recognition and is a seal-of-approval for NJIT's quality and adherence to best practice protocols.
The IDEE program has been developed by the IUSCA in response to demand from the
university performance sector for a formal and robust assessment procedure, where best practice can be benchmarked and developed.
During the IDEE process, NJIT was subject to a robust and detailed audit of its guiding principles, procedures, and outcomes.
Bobby Fisk, Head of S&C said "The IUSCA Independent Department External Evaluation (IDEE) was a large undertaking with a great return on the time investment. So often, we as college S&C professionals look outward to learn as much as we can from others to support our student-athletes and coaches. It is a rare opportunity to have a qualified individual come from the outside to learn about what we do as a department and give an evaluation with recommendations on where we can improve. The IDEE is that opportunity and it will benefit us greatly in continuing to improve on providing a quality training environment for the student-athletes we are so fortunate to work with."
