Accreditation by the IUSCA distinguishes those with a high level of knowledge, expertise and competencies in Strength and Conditioning (S&C). The IUSCA Accreditation program has established a profile of skills that employers will be able to recognise in coaches and practitioners with IUSCA accreditation. These qualities include: - The ability to utilise scientific thinking in a variety of contexts - Breadth and depth of knowledge within S&C - The ability to write and communicate with clarity and effectiveness - Demonstrated technical abilities - Significant experience as a practitioner (2 years’ full-time) - The ability to review and evaluate their own and others' practice and performance Assessment for Accreditation includes: - Degree in a relevant field - At least 2 years' full-time experience within S&C - Completion and maintenance of a comprehensive portfolio of experience and reflections - Reference from a senior level coach or administrator - 30 minute video assessment in a practitioner setting of your choosing
