IUSCA Launches New Advisory Board Positions: Directors of Industry Engagement

The International Universities Strength and Conditioning Association (IUSCA) is pleased to announce the creation of new Advisory Board positions to support the continued growth and global influence of the organisation.
Building on our existing international network, we are now appointing Directors of Industry Engagement across key global regions, including the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, and Australia/New Zealand.

Purpose of the New Roles
Traditionally, Advisory Board roles have been largely honorary. With the rapid expansion of IUSCA activities worldwide, we are now evolving these positions to be more purposeful and impactful.
The Directors of Industry Engagement will act as regional ambassadors, tasked with expanding IUSCA’s reach beyond universities and into broader industry sectors such as:
Professional sport and athletic performance
National governing bodies and policy groups
Fitness, health, and corporate wellness industries
High-performance training organisations and institutes
These positions will play a central role in strengthening partnerships, identifying opportunities, and ensuring IUSCA continues to raise global standards in strength and conditioning education and practice.
Key Responsibilities
Each Director of Industry Engagement will:
Act as the primary representative of IUSCA within their region.
Establish and develop relationships with key industry organisations, professional teams, and practitioners.
Identify opportunities for partnerships, collaborations, and sponsorships.
Provide insight into regional industry trends, workforce needs, and emerging opportunities.
Advocate for IUSCA at regional conferences, events, and within professional networks.
Contribute to IUSCA’s mission of connecting academia and industry through global standards and education pathways.
Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking senior professionals with significant experience and influence within their region. Ideal candidates will:
Have an established reputation and strong network in strength and conditioning, sport science, or related fields.
Be experienced in leadership, partnership development, or industry engagement.
Share a commitment to advancing global professional standards.
Be able to dedicate approximately 2–4 hours per month to the role.
Appointments will be voluntary, offering prestige, global visibility, and the opportunity to shape the future of the profession.
