About the Event

Richard Husseiny, Former GB Olympic Coach and Founder of Men Behind Sport, will be delivering a webinar on "The Inconvenient Truth in Sport: Navigating the Crisis in Performance Support Staff Wellbeing". This will include a Q&A session at the end.

Richard was a performance coach for 16 years. This included supporting teams in preparation for two Summer Olympic Games – London 2012 and Rio 2016 – and the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.

In 2015 Richard gave end-of-life care to his mother. In 2017 he then had surgery due to a serious autoimmune health condition. These experiences changed his life, put him on a path of deep reflection and allowed him to truly see what was important to him.

This inspired him to create his company Men Behind Sport to provide the support he didn't have as a practitioner. His work supports practitioners and coaches to look beyond just their role to unlock the qualities that are most important for them to show up in their role, career and life in their fullest expression.
