Job Summary
Lead physical development across Somerset's male pathway from county age-group through Emerging Player and Academy programmes. Responsibilities include S&C programming, profiling, GPS and bowling workload analysis, maturation monitoring, rehabilitation support, return-to-performance, LTAD planning, multidisciplinary working and supporting placement staff.

This role aligns with IQF Level 6 through autonomous responsibility for planning, programming and delivering physical development across County Age Group, Emerging Player and Academy pathways. It requires individualised athlete programming, GPS and workload interpretation, growth and maturation monitoring, multidisciplinary return-to-performance decision-making, long-term athletic development planning and supervision of placement staff.

Salary and Role Alignment
Red. The £27,000 to £30,000 salary is materially below what appears proportionate for a Level 6 role requiring undergraduate study, postgraduate S&C education or equivalent, professional accreditation, autonomous pathway programming, sophisticated athlete monitoring, interdisciplinary return-to-performance responsibilities, supervision of placement staff and a minimum 40-hour working week including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
