Level 6. Has autonomous responsibility for physical preparation for approximately 120 student-athletes across eight sports, including programme design, testing, session coordination, safety and equipment and budget administration. The advert does not confirm supervision of S&C practitioners or department-wide strategic authority. The employer requires NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and ordinarily a kinesiology-related bachelor’s degree, but permits equivalent education, experience or certifications; a master’s degree is preferred.

Associated IUSCA IQF Certification

IUSCA IQF Level 6 Accredited International Strength and Conditioning Practitioner (aISCP)

Salary and Role Alignment

Amber. The advertised USD $60,000 to $65,000 appears somewhat modest relative to Level 6 responsibility for eight teams, independent programming, testing, equipment and budget duties, CSCS requirements and potentially extensive evening and weekend hours. The scale of the student-athlete population is significant, although direct staff management is not established. Under the IUSCA IQF Role Classification & Salary Alignment methodology, this results in an Amber rating.

IUSCA Alignment Statement

This role has been classified by IUSCA using publicly available information at the time of review and the published IQF Role Classification & Salary Alignment methodology. The IQF classification, salary alignment assessment and associated IUSCA IQF certification represent IUSCA's assessment of the advertised role.
