Job Summary
Lead and manage a portfolio of NSWIS high-performance sport partnerships and programmes supporting elite and pre-elite athletes and coaches. The role develops relationships with National Sporting Organisations and negotiates, implements, monitors and reviews partnership agreements against shared performance objectives. It leads multidisciplinary teams, builds high-performance culture, allocates financial resources and uses programme-management systems to track progress, risk and opportunity. Working with the senior leadership team, the manager is accountable for integrated programme outcomes and for creating environments in which athletes and coaches can perform sustainably.
IUSCA IQF Classification
Level 7. As one of three High Performance Managers, the appointee leads a portfolio of sport partnerships and programmes, negotiates and reviews partnership agreements, manages multidisciplinary teams and allocates financial resources while remaining accountable for performance outcomes. The role requires advanced strategic planning, systems management and influence across National Sporting Organisations and senior internal stakeholders. Its authority is substantial but bounded to an allocated portfolio rather than organisation-wide governance or profession-level standards, so Level 7 is the strongest fit. The employer requires relevant degree or coaching qualifications but does not name a strength and conditioning certification body.
Associated IUSCA IQF Certification
IUSCA IQF Level 7 Accredited International Strength and Conditioning Practitioner (aISCP*m)
Salary and Role Alignment
Green. The advertised salary appears appropriately aligned relative to the role's portfolio-level strategic accountability, multidisciplinary staff leadership, financial-resource management, senior stakeholder influence and requirement for at least seven years of elite-sport experience. Superannuation and the defined Olympic-cycle contract add value. Under the IUSCA IQF Role Classification & Salary Alignment methodology, this results in a Green rating.
