IUSCA IQF Classification
Level 7. Provides senior strategic oversight of an allocated portfolio of sport partnerships and programmes, with additional leadership of NSWIS talent initiatives and the Para Unit. Leads planning, performance monitoring, partnership decisions, multidisciplinary teams and financial-resource allocation, improving decisions across coaches and programmes. The authority is significant and cross-programme but is not clearly the institute-wide profession-shaping governance characteristic of Level 8. Employer requires a relevant degree and at least 10 years of elite-sport leadership experience; no named S&C certification body or essential master's degree is stated.
Associated IUSCA IQF Certification
IUSCA IQF Level 7 Accredited International Strength and Conditioning Practitioner (aISCP*m)
Salary and Role Alignment
Green. The advertised starting salary of AUD $177,222 plus superannuation appears appropriately aligned relative to senior cross-programme strategy, oversight of the Para Unit and talent pathways, multidisciplinary leadership, financial responsibility and extensive experience expectations. Under the IUSCA IQF Role Classification & Salary Alignment methodology, this results in a Green rating. The fixed-term Olympic-cycle contract and actual delegated authority should be considered in a complete package assessment.
