Job Summary

Provide integrated performance support across U.S. Soccer's U19 and U20 Women's Youth National Team environments during camps, competitions and wider player-development activity. Responsibilities include physical-preparation planning, strength and conditioning, readiness and load monitoring, physical testing, recovery and longitudinal player profiling. The coach works closely with performance medicine, nutrition, analytics, innovation and technical staff, translating performance data into practical recommendations for players and coaches. The role also supports female health, growth and maturation, injury-risk reduction and continuity of care between club, college and national-team environments. Significant domestic and international travel forms part of the role.

IUSCA IQF Classification

Level 6. The coach supports the U19 and U20 Women's Youth National Team environments, contributes to individual and team performance strategies, oversees player monitoring and testing, translates complex data into applied decisions and works across an integrated national-team support system. The role remains a senior practitioner position rather than Level 7 because it operates within established systems and does not carry responsibility for other practitioners' decision quality or departmental strategy. Employer certification note: NSCA CSCS, NSCA CPSS, or equivalent international certification is required. The employer also requires a master's degree or higher, which is above the normal IUSCA academic threshold for a Level 6 role.

Associated IUSCA IQF Certification

IUSCA IQF Level 6 Accredited International Strength and Conditioning Practitioner (aISCP)

IUSCA Indicative Minimum Salary Benchmark: USD $95,000 per year. This benchmark reflects the national-team context, breadth of applied sport-science responsibility, travel demands and professional accountability associated with the post.
