Job Summary
Provide expert strength and conditioning support to emerging, pre-elite and QAS-categorised athletes across the Townsville regional programme. The role independently designs, delivers and reviews evidence-informed programmes aligned with individual athlete performance plans, pathway priorities and agreed performance goals. Responsibilities include physical testing, monitoring, evaluation, reporting and coordination of regional strength and conditioning service delivery within multidisciplinary performance teams. The practitioner also contributes to athlete identification and progression and may lead, mentor and influence other strength and conditioning practitioners where required.
IUSCA IQF Classification
Level 6. The practitioner independently designs, delivers and reviews evidence-informed programmes for emerging, pre-elite and categorised athletes, provides expert advice, leads testing and monitoring, coordinates regional service delivery and is accountable for athlete progression. The role may mentor and influence other practitioners, but the advert does not establish standing staff-management or strategic responsibility for others' professional decisions at the Level 7 threshold. ASCA Level 2 Strength & Conditioning Coach and ASCA PCAS Elite Coach are listed as essential.
