IUSCA IQF Classification

Level 6. Acts as the named S&C practitioner for the Para Badminton World Class Programme, independently designing and adapting physical preparation strategies incorporating periodisation, peaking, tapering and rehabilitation. The role integrates coaching with physiotherapy and wider Paralympic performance support and may cover additional programmes in the northern region. It is a defined specialist practitioner remit rather than department-wide leadership. No specific employer-mandated S&C certification or academic qualification is confirmed in the accessible advert.

IUSCA IQF Level 6 Accredited International Strength and Conditioning Practitioner (aISCP)

Salary and Role Alignment

Amber. The advertised £35,120 full-time-equivalent salary appears somewhat modest relative to the role's Level 6 autonomy, specialist Paralympic World Class Programme responsibility, multidisciplinary rehabilitation work and requirement to cover additional programmes or travel. Under the IUSCA IQF Role Classification & Salary Alignment methodology, this results in an Amber rating. Actual pay is pro rata, approximately £17,560 to £21,072 at 0.5 to 0.6 FTE, and should be evaluated alongside the agreed workload and benefits.

IUSCA Alignment Statement
