The practitioner exercises autonomous scientific judgement within the Head of Athlete Preparation's programme, without stated staff-management or strategic departmental responsibility. Employer requirements: a relevant scientific degree and UKSCA Accredited Strength and Conditioning Coach (ASCC) status, together with national-team or World Class Programme experience.
Associated IUSCA IQF Certification
IUSCA IQF Level 6 Accredited International Strength and Conditioning Practitioner (aISCP)
Salary and Role Alignment
Amber. The advertised salary of £30,000 to £34,000 appears somewhat modest relative to the role's autonomous Level 6 responsibilities, Olympic World Class Programme population, mandatory UKSCA ASCC accreditation, scientific-degree requirement and overseas travel. Under the IUSCA IQF Role Classification & Salary Alignment methodology, this results in an Amber rating. The full benefits package and actual travel and working hours would influence the final assessment.
