Please join us in welcoming Dr Jeremy Moody as IUSCA Director of Industry Engagement.
Jeremy brings more than three decades of experience spanning academia, elite sport, professional leadership, and practitioner development, making him exceptionally well placed to support the next phase of IUSCA's international growth.
He is currently Reader in Applied Strength and Conditioning and Programme Director for the MSc Strength and Conditioning at Cardiff Metropolitan University, where he teaches across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Throughout his career, Jeremy has also held senior performance roles including Regional Lead at the English Institute of Sport, Performance Manager at UK Athletics, Performance Director for Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby, and Performance Director and Chief Operating Officer at Welsh Judo. He has consulted to UK Sport, Sport Wales, Sport England, National Governing Bodies, and professional sports organisations, while also serving as Chairman of the UKSCA and playing a key role in their early development.
In his new role with IUSCA, Jeremy will help drive several major initiatives, including expanding the IUSCA Degree Accreditation programme throughout Turkey, supporting the development of a new Facility Accreditation framework for strength and conditioning organisations, and helping launch the IUSCA Internship Endorsement programme to strengthen the quality and consistency of practical development opportunities across the profession.
As Jeremy explains:
"This is a really exciting time to be associated with IUSCA. An area of focus for me is to progress the roll-out of the Degree Accreditation programme in Turkey. In addition, I am currently looking at the development of a Facility Accreditation process that will be both specific, but also inclusive, for all areas of strength and conditioning and associated disciplines. Finally, I will be looking at helping launch the Internship Endorsement programme and how this will work across the S&C industry."
Jeremy's appointment further strengthens IUSCA's international leadership team as we continue to advance globally recognised standards, practitioner development, and educational quality across the strength and conditioning profession.
Welcome to the team, Jeremy!
