The IUSCA is pleased to announce its new partnership with the Italian Strength & Conditioning Society (ITASCS).
This collaboration marks a major step in the continued advancement of strength and conditioning on the international stage. Through IUSCA accreditation, professional development, and joint initiatives, the IUSCA and ITASCS will work together to strengthen standards and opportunities for practitioners in Italy and beyond.
In a significant milestone, ITASCS becomes the first non-university organisation to have its full educational pathway accredited by the IUSCA and formally regulated through the International Qualification Framework Independent Regulatory Council (IQF-IRC). This recognition affirms the high quality of ITASCS’s coach education and its alignment with international professional standards.
Graduates of the ITASCS accredited pathway will now be eligible for the following IUSCA professional certifications, depending on their qualifications and experience:
IUSCA IQF Level 6 Accredited International Strength and Conditioning Practitioner (aISCP): For those with a bachelor’s degree and 750 hours of practical experience.
IUSCA IQF Level 7 Accredited International Strength and Conditioning Practitioner with Masters (aISCP*m): For those with a master’s degree and 1500 hours of experience.
IUSCA IQF Level 4 Certified Strength and Conditioning Practitioner: For those without a degree who complete the ITASCS programme.
Key areas of collaboration include:
Accreditation and Recognition: IUSCA accreditation of the ITASCS pathway, with recognition through the IQF and regulation by the IQF-IRC.
Standards Development: Joint work on the IQF international standards for S&C practitioners.
Reciprocal Brand Activation: Shared promotion through websites, communications, events, and conferences.
Educational Collaboration: Co-development of webinars, short courses, and professional development content.
Research and Publication: Collaborative research and contributions to the International Journal of Strength and Conditioning (IJSC).
Francesco Dimundo, CEO and Founder of the ITASCS said “This strategic partnership with IUSCA reinforces the commitment ITASCS has pursued — delivering high-level, internationally aligned education to prepare strength & conditioning professionals for the demands of elite sport and human performance. By embracing the International Qualification Framework (IQF), we consolidate our leadership across Italy and the Mediterranean, offering coaches a clear and accredited pathway to globally recognised credentials. This is not just an evolution — it’s a decisive step forward for our profession and for everyone supporting high-performance individuals across sport, tactical, and human performance domains.”
Andrew Langford, Director of the IUSCA commented “It’s fantastic to be working with a national organisation that shares our passion and vision for advancing global standards in strength and conditioning education and certification. As more organisations align with the International Qualification Framework (IQF) and uphold the high regulatory standards set by the IQF-IRC, we can collectively drive the profession forward.”
This partnership reinforces both organisations shared mission to raise the standard of practice in strength and conditioning and to create greater international alignment for education, regulation, and research within the field.
