The IUSCA and the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) have entered into a formal partnership to advance the fields of strength & conditioning, sport science, and applied sport psychology. This collaborative agreement establishes a framework for mutual support and professional exchange between the two organisations.
Aden Flannagan, Director of IUSCA, said: "The IUSCA is delighted to partner with the Association for Applied Sport Psychology. As strength and conditioning practitioners, we understand that we rarely operate in isolation. We are part of a greater team of professionals in other complementary domains. This partnership demonstrates our commitment to enhancing collaboration between the specialisms involved in the performance team. This signing of this MOU should enhance the learning, development, and research opportunities available for both sets of practitioners."
Key areas of collaboration include:
Reciprocal Brand Activation: Joint promotion and visibility through websites, communications, events, and conferences.
Educational Collaboration: Exchange of educational content, webinars, workshops, and professional development resources.
Knowledge Sharing: Creation of opportunities for cross-disciplinary learning and practitioner engagement.
Professional Development: Enhancing standards and growth across both disciplines through shared initiatives, such as through the IQF and IQF-IRC.
This partnership reflects a shared commitment to improving performance, well-being, and professional practice in sport and exercise environments globally.
