We’re excited to welcome Professor Paul Comfort as the next keynote speaker at the IUSCA International Conference on Strength and Conditioning, taking place at Leeds Beckett University on Friday 5th June 2026.
Paul Comfort is a globally respected researcher, educator, and practitioner in the field of strength and conditioning. He is a Professor of Strength and Conditioning at the University of Salford.
Paul is renowned for his work on force-time characteristics, weightlifting derivatives, athlete monitoring, and resistance training practices, and he has authored or co-authored over 160 peer-reviewed journal articles, multiple textbooks, and international position stands.
As a founding figure in evidence-based strength and conditioning practice, Paul has helped shape the profession through both scientific leadership and applied coaching. He is also a Master International Strength and Conditioning Practitioner (mISCP) with the IUSCA.
