Presentation Announcement | IUSCA International Conference on Strength & Conditioning 2026

We’re pleased to share another confirmed presentation title from our 2026 speaker line-up.

Alex Wolf will present:

Are We Solving the Right Problem or Just Applying Familiar Solutions?

In high-performance environments, it is easy to default to familiar methods. But effective coaching begins with correctly identifying the problem.

In this session, Alex will challenge practitioners to critically examine how they define problems in S&C, and whether the solutions they apply are truly aligned with the demands of the athlete and the environment. The focus will be on decision-making, context, and avoiding the trap of applying methods simply because they are well-known or widely accepted.

Attendees can expect practical insights into applied performance coaching, with an emphasis on reasoning, problem-solving, and adapting approaches to real-world constraints.

Alex Wolf is a highly regarded S&C coach and educator, previously serving for over a decade as the Head of S&C for the EIS, and known for his work in developing applied coaching practice and challenging conventional thinking within the profession.
