New IUSCA IQF Certificate Verification Portal Launches to Strengthen Professional Standards in S&C

All IUSCA IQF certifications from Level 2 onwards will now be validated through the international register, giving employers, insurers, universities and other stakeholders a direct way to confirm the authenticity and current status of professional credentials.

The portal represents a major step in driving professionalism across the global strength and conditioning sector by establishing a clear, consistent and internationally accessible system for verifying professional credentials.

All newly issued IUSCA IQF certifications from Level 2 onwards will now include a unique QR verification code. Scanning the code links directly to the certification holder’s official record on the international register, allowing the validity and current status of the credential to be confirmed immediately.

A stronger system for professional credential verification

The strength and conditioning sector has continued to grow internationally, with practitioners increasingly working across different countries, organisations and professional settings.

This creates a need for credentials that can be verified clearly and consistently, without employers or other stakeholders having to rely solely on a paper certificate, a digital file or claims made within an application.

The new verification portal addresses this by connecting each eligible IUSCA IQF certificate directly to an official international registration record.

Through the portal, employers, insurers, universities, governing bodies and other stakeholders can confirm that a credential:

  • has been formally awarded through the IUSCA IQF system

  • is recorded at the stated IQF level

  • belongs to the named certification holder

  • remains current and valid on the international register

This provides a reliable source of verification and strengthens confidence in professional S&C credentials worldwide.

Driving professionalism across the S&C sector

Professionalisation requires more than the existence of qualifications and certifications. It also requires transparent standards, accountable systems and a credible way for stakeholders to confirm that professional claims are valid.

The IUSCA IQF Certificate Verification Portal supports this by introducing a consistent international mechanism through which professional S&C certifications can be checked.

The system provides several important benefits:

  • Greater trust in professional credentials

  • Credentials can be verified directly against the international register, helping to distinguish formally awarded and current certifications from unverified claims or outdated documentation.

  • Stronger confidence for employers and insurers

  • Employers and insurance providers can confirm certification status before making recruitment, contracting or coverage decisions, supporting more informed professional judgements.

Improved international portability

Practitioners can demonstrate the validity of their certification across countries and organisations through a single official verification record.

This does not replace any country-specific employment, insurance or regulatory requirements, but it provides clear international evidence of the credential awarded and its current status.

Greater transparency and accountability

The portal creates a direct connection between the certificate presented by the practitioner and the official record maintained through the IUSCA IQF system.

This strengthens accountability for certification holders while supporting confidence among employers, institutions and the wider public.

Higher professional standards across strength and conditioning

A profession becomes stronger when its credentials can be understood, compared and independently verified.

By validating IUSCA IQF certifications from Level 2 onwards through the international register, the portal provides an important part of the professional infrastructure needed to support the continued development of strength and conditioning worldwide.

How the verification process works

The process is designed to be simple:

Scan

Each eligible IUSCA IQF certificate includes a unique QR verification code.

Verify

The code opens the holder’s official record within the IUSCA IQF verification portal.

Confirm

The record displays the certification awarded, the relevant IQF level, the date of issue and the current certification status.

The portal can also be accessed directly, allowing stakeholders to verify an eligible credential without scanning the certificate.

Supporting the International Qualification Framework

The verification portal forms part of the wider development of the International Qualification Framework as a coherent international system for recognising practitioner competence across strength and conditioning.

The IQF provides a progressive structure through which certifications can represent different levels of knowledge, responsibility, autonomy, decision making and professional practice.

Independent oversight through the IQF Independent Regulatory Council supports transparency, comparability and confidence in the standards represented at each level.

Linking eligible certificates directly to the international register ensures that the published certification and the official professional record remain connected.

A major step for the global S&C profession

The launch of the IUSCA IQF Certificate Verification Portal marks an important development for strength and conditioning.

For practitioners, it provides a stronger way to demonstrate the legitimacy and international validity of their professional certification.

For employers, insurers, universities and other stakeholders, it provides a clear and reliable method of checking the credentials presented to them.

For the profession as a whole, it strengthens the systems required to support transparency, portability, accountability and professional recognition.

Scan. Verify. Confirm.
