We are delighted to announce our highly anticipated free webinar series for 2024. Running from April to September, this series will feature monthly webinars led by renowned leaders in S&C and sports performance. Through the support of Teambuildr, we are able to offer these webinars 100% free of charge, demonstrating the commitment of the IUSCA and Teambuildr to support the professional development of the S&C and sport science community.
The series kicks off with an insightful session by Richard Husseiny on "The Inconvenient Truth in Sport: Navigating the Crisis in Performance Support Staff Wellbeing." This webinar, scheduled for Tuesday, 30th April, will delve into the critical yet often overlooked aspects of wellbeing among performance support staff within the sports industry.
Richard Husseiny, a respected figure known for his outstanding work and contributions to the field, will share his expertise and strategies for addressing the challenges faced by professionals dedicated to elite performance. Richard's journey led to him creating Men Behind Sport, to provide the support he didn't have as a practitioner. His work supports practitioners and coaches to look beyond just their role to unlock the qualities that are most important for them to show up in their role, career and life in their fullest expression.
This initiative by the IUSCA underscores our commitment to fostering a supportive and knowledgeable community within the S&C and sports performance sectors. By providing these educational resources for free, we aim to empower professionals at all levels to achieve excellence in their careers and contribute to the advancement of the field.
"We are incredibly excited to launch this webinar series and to have Richard Husseiny lead our first session," said Aden Flannagan, Director at IUSCA. "Our goal is to create a platform where experts can share valuable insights and where professionals from around the world can come together to learn, network, and grow. This series is a testament to our commitment to the professional development and wellbeing of the S&C and sport science communities."
The webinar series is designed for S&C coaches, sports scientists, educators, students, and anyone interested in the latest trends and research in sports performance.
