IUSCA Degree Accreditation recognises courses that develop the judgement, decision making, and explanatory problem-solving skills required to become an effective practitioner in real-world S&C settings.

By aligning with the principles of the International Qualification Framework (IQF), the University of Northampton has demonstrated its commitment to preparing graduates who can think critically, adapt to complex environments, and continually develop their professional practice.

As part of the accredited programme, students can progress towards graduation as an IUSCA IQF Level 7 Accredited International Strength and Conditioning Practitioner (aISCP*m), the highest fully degree-embedded practitioner certification pathway in S&C, supporting internationally recognised practitioner status and practitioner insurance eligibility in 120+ countries worldwide.

Students also benefit from:

✔ Access to IUSCA Video and an extensive library of practitioner webinars

✔ Access to IUSCA Practitioner Short Courses

✔ Opportunities to apply for prestigious placements with IUSCA partner organisations

As Course Leader, Dr Nathan Thompson explains:

"We are delighted that our MSc Strength, Conditioning and Rehabilitation has achieved IUSCA Degree Accreditation, recognising the quality and industry relevance of the programme. Through research-informed teaching, extensive applied practice opportunities and flexible entry routes, students develop the skills required for careers in strength and conditioning and rehabilitation. The programme is suitable for applicants from a range of industry backgrounds, including sports rehabilitation, physiotherapy, sports therapy and strength and conditioning. Students benefit from dedicated mentor support during placements and access to specialist strength and conditioning facilities, performance laboratories and rehabilitation clinics. IUSCA accreditation enables students to gain an internationally recognised professional qualification alongside their MSc, enhancing employability and future career opportunities."

Congratulations once again to the University of Northampton on joining the growing international network of IUSCA Accredited Degrees, representing world-leading S&C education and a commitment to developing the next generation of highly competent practitioners.
